Public tariffs, separately identified private published prices and public waiting times for percutaneous coronary intervention with stent, drawn from government schedules, hospital price publications and waiting-time registries (cutoff: 2026-10-19).
What a complete procedure typically includes
Our reference definition covers: intervention, one stent, facility, routine admission. It excludes: multiple vessels, additional stents, complications. Note: Government tariff codes below follow each country’s own billing rules and may exclude implants, doctor fees, or follow-up care—check each country card for what is included.
How to read these numbers in 10 seconds:
Public tariffs are not private cash prices: Public-tariff rows show what a government health system (such as the UK NHS, US Medicare, or French public insurance) pays a hospital or doctor—not what you pay out of pocket as a private patient.
Published private packages are separate from public tariffs: Private packages carry their hospital name and published scope. Check whether the price is partial or hospital-wide: Some schedules publish a single hospital payment, while others (like US Medicare) split the doctor’s fee and the hospital facility fee into separate rows. We never add separate fees together.
Two different ways countries measure waiting times: Some countries report how long people currently on the waiting list have been waiting so far (e.g., Spain), while others report the total wait for patients who already had their procedure (e.g., Poland, Denmark).
Official benchmarks with unverified episode equivalence do not establish the cost of the complete procedure. Historical periods do not describe current appointment availability.
